Thai foot massage is a massage of the feet and lower legs. It is invigorating and deeply relaxing and involves hands on massage as well as stimulation of the body’s reflex points using a traditional Thai foot massage stick. The treatment also includes work on the “Sen” lines which are from the Ayurvedic tradition and are the equivalent to the meridians of tradition Chinese medicine.

- A review of anatomy and physiology.
- The history of Thai foot massage.
- The benefits of Thai foot massage.
- Discussion of the reflex points on the feet.
- The Sen lines.
- Contra-indications and contra-actions.
- Client consultation and aftercare advice.
- Massage strokes.
- Treatment preparation.
- The treatment.
How Will the Course be Assessed?
Written exam (multiple choice) and practical demonstration.
There will be a practical demonstration after which students will practise on each other.
Do I need any Previous Experience?
No previous experience of massage is necessary and you are not required to hold a recognised Anatomy and Physiology qualification, but it is recommended that you do at least 10 hours home study prior to the course by reading the manuals which will be sent to you approximately 4 weeks in advance.

What Do I Need to Bring?
Is the Course Accredited?
The course is accredited and approved by The Guild of Holistic Therapists. It is worth 10 CPD points.
A certificate of attendance will be provided with which you can obtain insurance to practice professionally.
A deposit of £90 will be required on receipt of which I will send you your manuals.
There will be a maximum of 4 people on each course so that I can provide individual attention to each student.
